Peperomia caperata

Rich, deep colour and velvety texture
The Peperomia caparata is a plant which deserves a second look. Endowed with rich, deep colour and velvety texture, the leaves look as if they might have been quilted. The Peperomia caperata has sturdy, maroon stems, and thin, cream flowers which gracefully reach up, twice as high as the foliage. The overall effect is very attractive.

Mass display
Mass indoor displays of the Peperomia caperata will provide years of pleasure. Position the plants where medium light can catch their corrugated leaf forms.

Variety
Look out for the different forms of Peperomia caperata that are available from nurseries from time to time.

Care instructions

Care Info:

Watering:
Place pebbles in the bottom of a 15 cm deep container. Cover with water. Group a number of plants, each in its individual pot, on top of the pebble bed. Place the container in medium light, shaded from direct sun. Ensure that the soil is kept moderately moist, but do not allow it to dry out. NEVER allow the plant to become waterlogged, as it will immediately wilt and die. In winter, the top half of the soil can be allowed to dry out before rewatering.
